Show the map of one of your own structures to check the model against your experimental data.
Prerequisites:
- The structure is registered in 3decision and open in the Workspace. To register one, see Structure registration.
- You have the map file (for example
.ccp4), or an MTZ file that contains map coefficients. See Supported map files.
If the file is already attached to the structure, skip to Display the map.
- In the Collections panel, click the i icon of the structure. The Information Browser opens.
- Open the Files tab and click Add file.
- Drag the file into the dialog, or click Choose File. Optionally, enter a Description.
- Click Upload.
Result: the file is listed under Associated files: map files under Volume, MTZ files under Reflection.
- In the Files tab of the Information Browser, find the file under Associated files.
- Click the button for the map you want:
- Map file: View volume file in 3D Viewer (eye icon).
- MTZ file: 2FO for the 2Fo-Fc map, FO for the Fo-Fc difference map. 3decision computes the map from the file, which takes a few seconds.
Result: the map appears in the 3D viewer and in the State Tree, under Density Maps.
- No map appears for an MTZ file: check that the file contains the map coefficients for the button you clicked. 2FO and FO each need their own columns. See MTZ files.
