¶ How to create and share a storyboard
Create a storyboard when you want to walk colleagues through a structure scene by scene, for example to explain a binding mode.
Prerequisites: the structures are in a project you can edit. To create one, see Projects.
Storyboard is a beta feature: once saved, the scenes can't be edited. Set up every scene before step 7.
- Open the project in the Workspace (Collections → Add → Open Project).
- In the Collections panel, open the Stories tab and click Create Story.
- Enter a title and a description. Both are required to save.
- Set up the first scene in the 3D viewer (representations, zoom, clipping). Click Update to save the view into the scene.
- Edit the scene title and description.
- To add a scene, click Add Scene, set up the view and click Update.
- Click Save.
Result: the storyboard is listed in the Stories tab of the project.
- Check that your colleague, or their user group, has access to the project. If not, add them to the project.
- Open the project in the Workspace and copy the browser URL. It looks like
https://<your-3decision-address>/workspace?ws=15-project-id~<id>.
- Send the link with these instructions: open the Stories tab, open the ⋮ menu of the story, and select View.
Result: your colleague sees the storyboard in view mode and can rotate and zoom each scene.
